The current-generation Honda Odyssey has always been touted as one of the more premium offerings in the segment. This impression stems from the fact that this minivan is loaded with safety, convenience, and tech goodies befitting more expensive marques. But this doesn’t mean there isn’t any room for improvement.
In fact, Honda Cars Philippines Inc (HCPI) has just released an upgraded version of the 2017 Odyssey 2.4 EX-V Navi CVT. From the outside, the refreshed model receives a Platinum front grille, lower garnish up front, on the side, and at the rear, and a new look for the 17-inch alloy wheels.
Being a minivan, the cabin naturally gets more niceties to enhance the journey. These come in the form of outer door courtesy lights, auto up/down power windows, and speed-sensing door locks that activate when the vehicle reaches 15kph. All these are designed to make life saferand more convenient. Plus, they complement the already luxurious seven-seat cabin with leather seating surfaces, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, a 9-inch rear entertainment system with DVD and HDMI capabilities, and a versatile 3rd-row Magic Seat, among others
As with last year’s model, the Honda Odyssey 2.4 EX-V Navi CVT is still powered by an Earth Dreams 2.4-liter four-cylinder motor with i-VTEC variable valve timing. Putting out 172hp and 225Nm, it is mated to an Earth Dreams Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and delivers smooth yet efficient performance. Moreover, Eco Assist System with eco coaching light, and Idle-Stop help make this van a truly economical vehicle to maintain.
The Honda Odyssey 2.4 EX-V Navi CVT is now available at your friendly Honda dealer with a suggested retail price of P2,393,000.
