Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge Steps Out of the Shadows and Into the Light of Southeast Asia

Last week, Rolls-Royce hinted that it would be unveiling a new kind of luxury in Southeast Asia—the Rolls-Royce Black Badge. Now, the British luxury automaker reveals the Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge at the 38th Bangkok International Motor Show 2017.

The Black Badge is created specifically to cater to a different kind of clientele. It’s for those that defy the rules, who aren’t afraid to express their own identity, and follow their own path. The Wraith, Black Badge, as with the alter-ego identity itself, is for the discriminating customer who works hard and parties even harder.

This distinctive type of owner can be seen in the little details that make the 624hp, 870Nm Wraith special. The Spirit of Ecstasy, for instance, is set in gloss black, just like the deep luster paint finish. The inverted RR badge is chromed and gives a nice contrast to the ebony hue. More chrome touches are seen on the front grille surround, lower air inlet, trunk lid finisher, and exhaust tips.

More dark touches are seen in the ultra-luxurious cabin. The main highlight in here is the aerospace-grade carbon-fiber composite finishing, complemented by “unlimited” infinity motifs embroidered on the headrests and upholstery that give it an attitude all its own. This is capped off by Moody Light coming from the starlight headliner, emitting a dark yet still classy ambience.

The 38th Bangkok International Motor Show 2017 runs from 28 March to 9 April 2017.
