Honda Updates the Mobilio in Indonesia

It’s hard to believe that the Honda Mobilio is almost four years old. First seen at the Indonesia International Motor Show in September 2013, the Honda multipurpose vehicle (MPV) has gone on to wow buyers with its class-leading premium feel and features.

Now, Honda unveils a new Mobilio that is sleeker and packed with even more comfort and convenience. The revised front grille now sports a cleaner look, while the headlamps boast LED guides. The tailights, too, get a cleaned-up look. And equally updated 15-inch alloy wheel designs are available for a more stylish vibe.

The cabin, which is arguably the main selling point of this vehicle, is now more comfortable with thicker-padded seats and separate headrests. Niceties like steering wheel-mounted switches, 6.8-inch infotainment touchscreen, and automatic airconditioning, just to name a few are now part of the package. The top-spec RS variant also gets a more upscale blacked-out cabin hue.

Powering the new Honda Mobilio is the tried-and-tested 1.5-liter four-cylinder motor with VTEC variable valve timing. It puts out 120hp and is mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission with Earth Dreams and Drive-by-Wire tech. This combo promises adequate and economical motoring for most driving conditions.

Being a family hauler, the Honda Mobilio comes with dual SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist, G-CON body structure, ISOFIX child seat tethers, and Hill Start assist.

The Honda Mobilio goes on sale in Indonesian markets.
