The opening race for 2017 of the Asian Le Mans Endurance Series was a rousing start for Pinnacle Racing Team (PRT), which finished a strong fourth during the 4 Hours of Buriram.
Held at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand, the duo of Ate De Jong and Charlie Robertson engaged in a well-fought battle to clinch the fourth spot. The 4,554km track was the venue where 26 cars battled for position against each other for a go at the top spot. While it was the duo’s first stint at this track, this didn’t deter them from fighting their hearts out to gain a respectable slot
Qualifying in P3 during Saturday’s session, De Jong and Robertson took turns racing against their competitors and giving it their best. In the end, after four hours of racing, as well as fuel and tire stops, they managed to come out strong.
The PRT contingent, using the Pnbet88-sponsored Ginetta LMP3 race car, was made possible thanks to the help of Pinbet88, Redmount Group, Motul, and P1 Racewear. The 2016/2017 Asian Le Mans Endurance Series will head to the Sepang International Circuit In Malaysia on January 20-22, 2017 for the fourth and final race of the season.
