The first few days of the New Year are usually a huge reality check for most of us. It’s a rude awakening that the cheery holiday season is over and that we need to get back to the grind—and al the stress in our lives. And if you’re out car-shopping, then you might just get a bit of sticker shock once 2017 rolls in.
This is particularly true if you’ve dropped by a Subaru dealer lately. Motor Image Pilipinas, official importer and distributor of Subaru vehicles in the country, has recently announced that it will be raising the prices of some of its models effective this month—January 2017. This is due to the unstable currency situation and the continuous weakening of the Philippine peso.
More specifically, the XV, Levorg, and the hot-selling Forester were the models hit by the price hike. The said nameplates will see their sticker prices raised from around P20,000 to P30,000, depending on the variant.
Despite the increase, Motor Image still promises that the highest quality will be maintained in every vehicle it produces. For more information, please visit your nearest Subaru dealer today.
