Maxxis Tires are well-known in the off-road community as one of the toughest types of gear for any enthusiast’s rig. The brand puts its money where its mouth is in its continuing staging of the 2017 Maxxis NasFOR 4x4 Cup Extreme Off-Road Challenge, which will take place on August 12-13, 2017 at the MAA Off-Road Track, Diversion Road, Davao City.
Organized by North Trend Marketing, together with the Lungsod ng Davao, the 2017 Maxxis NasFOR 4x4 Cup Extreme Off-Road Challenge will feature a host of extreme off-road courses that will put both man and machine to the ultimate test. The challenges include table tops, zipper tacks, two extremely difficult off-road tracks, and a combination of both these hurdles—the utmost obstacle that only the gutsiest participant can face.
But Maxxis tires is confident that its rubber can withstand any hurdle placed in its way. Known as the Tough Tire for Tough Guys, Maxxis tires has a wide range of rubber to suit one’s 4x4 needs. The M8090, or Creepy Crawler, for instance, has a special construction that allows it to conform to different types of terrain. It likewise has stone ejectors that protect it from cuts and damage due to stones and other forms of debris.
Then there is the Maxxis M8060 or Trepador that offers a tread bias ply for excellent durability. It also has multi-curve siping to help improve traction on loose surfaces, while its nylon-belt construction helps increase puncture resistance.
The Davao leg, which coincides with the city’s Kadayawan Festival, is the 7th staging this year. It follows races in Aurora, Davao, Camarines Sur, Dipolog, Leyte, and Isabela. The races will head over to Digos, Cagayan de Oro, Angeles, Lubao, Ormoc, and return to Davao later this year.
Get to see who among leading Maxxis-Nasfor Driver of the Year contenders Bong Collado, JR Bartolome, and Edison Dungca will take top honors in this exciting off-road event.
