There is this debate in the automotive world about how today’s cars, despite being filled with all sorts of electronic gizmos, has taken the fun and passion out of driving.
The car practically drives itself, some would say.
Yet those who still own or want to own a classic car know that it takes a special kind of skill to pilot these steeds.
Especially a Ferrari.
This is the reason why the folks from Maranello put together the Ferrari Classiche Academy.
Taking place at the Fiorano Circuit, the curse is not just a place where owners can learn how to make the most out of their prized Pracing Horses. It is likewise a trip back in time to trace the roots of the famed Italian supercar maker.
The track, as we mentioned, is the renowned Fiorano Circuit where Ferrari puts its road and race cars through its pace.
Then there are the cars, such as the 308 GTS and GTB, with their mechanical components, gearbox, and sheer lack of electronic doodads.
Mix these together and you’ve got a recipe for pure driving bliss.
During the course, owners will get to learn how to drive these cars with finesse while still being able to take them to the max in a safe and controlled environment.
They will be taught both the fundamentals and practical ways to drive, not just classic Ferraris but the proper way to behave while behind the wheel.
In the end, the goal is for them to discover the passion of driving—while behind the tiller of a classic Ferrari and the jurney itself.
In case you missed this course, there will be a second course at the Ferrari Classiche Academy next year.
