Most folks usually celebrate Valentine’s Day by giving their loved ones a gift or taking them out to dinner. .Whether it’s a lavish or simple offering, the  gesture shows just how much they care for that special person—be it a family member, a friend, or a significant other.

But did you know that Valentine’s Day isn’t just for the significant people in your life? It can also be an opportune time to give your car or SUV the much-needed love and attention it deserves. How do you do this, you ask?

One way would be to keep it clean. Go to the carwash and have your vehicle washed and waxed to bring back that showroom shine. If you’re feeling up to it, why not do this yourself. It won’t just save you money but give you a good workout as well. If you’ve got the budget, why ot have your car detailed to remove any imperfections. And if you feel that it needs a new coat of paint, ow is as good a time as any.

Speaking of cleaning your ride, it would be best to do the same for the interior. Remove any clutter that may be lying around. Vacuum those carpets, spruce up the leather seating surfaces, and simply tidy up the cabin. Not only will your date appreciate this (if you have one, that is). It will also make your daily commute much more enjoyable. Nothing beats a clean car.

You may also want to give your car’s engine a tune-up. Change those sparkplugs (for gasoline motors), get an oil change, replace the air and fuel filters, and top up other vital fluids. Check to see that all belts are still n good working condition and replace when necessary. And replace any busted bulbs or parts.

If you’ve already done these, then at least check that your tires are properly inflated. Also ensures that each one has no cuts or bulges. And you may want to rrotate those right about now, if you haven’t already done so.

And of course, take your car out for a road trip. Stretch its legs and give it some much-needed exercise. You might want to top up on premium fuel while you\re at it. It’s like taking your ride out for a steak dinner. This may also be a perfect time for you and your loved ones to get away, even for a short time.

Yes, Valentine’s Day can definitely be a time to give your ride some Tender Loving Care. And hey, give it some love, even if it’s not the day of hearts. It will appreciate you for doing so.
