A while back, Columbian Autocar Corporation (CAC), the exclusive distributor of Kia vehicles in the Philippines, opened its doors to accept trade school students as part of its on-the-job training (OJT) program.

After a 2-week crash course, followed by a month of hands-on training in various Kia partner dealerships nationwide, 11 trainees from the Crossroads Training Institute have emerged as graduates.

Now armed with technical knowledge and auto mechanic skills, they will be able to see better job opportunities in the automotive industry inside and even outside the country. Best part is that CAC granted its whole dealership network to accept the graduates as part of the workforce, should they be interested to apply. Now that’s s sure ball way to land a job.

“It means a lot for us at Kia to give back to the community and give them an opportunity to learn in a real-world environment. This is not only beneficial to the program’s participants but also for the Kia employees involved in their education,” said CAC After-Sales Director Apollo R. Rosal.

To cap things off, a graduation ceremony was recently held at the Columbian Training Center in Kia Pasay. Congratulations, Kia OTJ Program Graduates of 2018!
