Our vehicle’s color, it has been said, often reflects our personality and personal taste. Most Asians, for instance, prefer neutral tones such as white, black, grey, or silver. The more daring folks would go for shades of red or other bright hues.
These are some of the factors that help General Motors’ Design teams each time they decide on what shades to offer customers around the world. Gathering at the GM Design Center in North America, the global team takes consumer feedback from across the globe to see which colors are hot and which aren’t so.
In the ever-growing Chinese market, for instance, red is often associated with happiness while white symbolizes new beginnings. Then there is black which exudes power and prestige. Speaking of the Chinese, the lucky car colors for the Chinese New Year of the Pig are white, gold, red, and azure blue.
Folks that are a bit more daring these days go such palettes Reddish brown, Copper, and Rose Gold. These colors aren’t your ordinary shades that you’d find in your 64-color Crayola box. Yet they let the world know that you dare to be different, bold, and want to make a statement.
So, what’s your lucky car color for 2019?
