How do speed limiters work?

In a nutshell, a lot better than the idiots who they put behind the wheel of our busses. But for the sake of productivity, lets start off on a happier note and get to the point.

One device presented to the LTFRB uses a micro controller based electronic circuit (actual unit pictured here) which reads the input from a speed sensor and switches the fuel valve to send messages to the ECU to limit the air/fuel mixtures and even the sparks to retard the acceleration.

The system comes with a warning beep and can even be set to have dual speed limiters that automatically cut in when the vibration sensor senses that you have left sealed roads. No word yet if it can tell the difference between wet and dry.
