When one thinks of family transport, one hardly thinks of luxury and class. That’s because such vehicles as vans and multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) need to be more practical and durable in order to keep up with the rigors of family life. Yet carmakers like Kia think otherwise.

Columbian Autocar Corporation, official Kia distributor in the country, adds a bit more luxury to the already upscale Grand Carnival. Designed to cater primarily to families, the minivan from Korea likewise appeals to executives on the move looking for a stylish yet practical means of transport besides the staple executive sedan.

The upgrade comes in the form of leather upholstery for all seven seats. Every seat from the driver and front passenger, to the second-row captin’s chairs, to the third row bench are now covered in genuine leather. This gives the people mover a more premium vibe inside the cabin. But why leather, you ask?

In case you didn’t know, this material is actually eaiser to clean and maintain. When young kids spill drinks, for instance, all mom or dad need to do is wipe it off and voila! Even stains won’t be a problem. Moreover, leather somehow ages better than fabric, especially with proper care. And yes, this will definitely pay off handsomely come resale time as it could just command a higher price.
