When you think about all the amazing things that smartphones can do these days, the functions of our devices seem limitless. From providing us endless hours of entertainment to helping us survive in the middle of the woods, there doesn’t appear to be anything a phone can’t do. It can even catch fish when paired with the Deeper Fish Finder. But right now, we’re more interested in how a smartphone can be of assistance to race car drivers.

Using your phone while driving obviously has its safety implications, but several app developers have used the smartphone’s nifty features to essentially create mobile tools to improve your driving. Mobile is a force to be reckoned with on the internet landscape, as told by the company behind Spin Genie, so it’s not completely strange that one would use his smartphone to adjust himself on the road.

With a community of 50 million users, this app is one of the best possible tools you will have at your disposal when trying to figure out your route. NASCAR Mobile has everything you need to keep up with all the NASCAR Series. Not only does it provide live leaderboards and real time tracking, but it also offers live driver audio and in-car cameras so you know exactly what’s going on throughout the race.
