Bonifacio Global City Lights Up the Holidays With Crystal-like Lights, and a Burst of Sounds and Cheer

Christmas is that time of the year for spreading holiday cheer. With the gift-giving and merry-making come spectacles like light and sound shows. These festive backdrops are what help complete the holiday experience for many.

Bonifacio Global City is one of those places in the Metro that is known to have some of the best lights in the city. This year, BGC ups the ante with Crystal Universe-inspired lights that are said to shine as brightly as the star that shone over Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago. Designed by renowned designer Voltaire De Jesus, the lights don’t just brighten up the place but also dance to the tune of Christmas Carols.

The light and sound show was put together by De Jesus together with musician-composers Roy Del Valle, Von De Guzman, and Tris Sunguitan. Witness how the lights sparkle to the beat of these well-loved Christmas tunes playing in the background.

More of these crystal-inspired lights can be seen as you enter The Gift Box in Bonifacio High Street. Catch the lights shimmer like diamonds every night from 6-10pm until January 7, 2018. Moreover, the entire BGC will be lit up by the crystal white lights that resemble snowballs. It’s the perfect way to have a white Christmas-like vibe this holday season.

Of course, BGC Christmas isn’t just about the lights and sounds but the whole experienece as well. This holiday season, a slew of events will treat every member of the family to an unforgettable Christmas. It kicks off with the 18 Days of Christmas Bazaar by Karl Edward International. Taking place from November 24 to December 23, 2017 at Three Parkade, the bazaar is the perfect place to do your holiday gift buying.

Those who wish to find gifts for the kids and kids-at-heart can check out the Toy and Gift Fair, happening on December 2 and 3 and Bonifacio High Street. More shopping sprees can be had at this year’s Shopathon by Mastercard. Get a chance to be one of five lucky winners of a P100,000 shopping spree each time you use your credit, debit, or prepaid Mastercard. Simply spend a minimum of P3,000, single or accumulated purchase, from December 1, 2017 to January 15, 2018 from any Bonifacio High Street, One Parkade, Two Parkade, Central Square, Bonifacio Stopover, Park Triangle, Crossroads, or The Fort establishment.

Beyond the shopping sprees, BGC will also be treating patrons of all ages to A Christmas Carol, a special presentation by Globe Live and 9Works Theatrical. The performances will happen all weekends of December, from the 7th, at the Globe Iconic Store, Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater. And of course, what’s a Filipino Christmas without the traditional Simbang Gabi. The nine-day anticipated novena Mass takes place from December 15-23 at 6pm, also at  the BHS Amphitheater.

Capping off the festivities is the first-ever BGC New Year’s Party, happening from 6pm onwards on December 31, 2017 at Bonifacio High Street. Held in partnership with the City of Taguig, the fun-filled event promises to be a night of fun, food, and fireworks, with world-class performances by Gary Valenciano to boot.

The BGC Holiday Festivities are co-presented by Mastercard, Huawei, and Security Bank. It’s all part of wishing everyone a truly Merry Christmas.
