The Lotus Evora is considered by many to be a comfortable sports car for the daily grind. While it is still a Lotus at heart, it does offer owners the luxury of using their track toy on a daily basis. And this can even be done with the likes of the Evora GT430.
Of course, using a car like the GT430 for the daily commute may be a bit of overkill. This is why Lotus now offers a variant that is a bit more subtle, yet still won’t let up in terms of performance. The Lutus Evora GT410 Sport is for those that want the punch, albeit in a more subdued manner.
Sure, it still uses the composite panels that have become a Lotus styling signature. Yet not all the aerodynamic bits are thrown in. This means you still get a good amount of downforce that is still as sticky as superglue.
As for weight, Lotus was able to achieve a dry weight of just 1,258kg,. This was made possible by using stuff like Ohlins TTX dampers and a lightweight exhaust, among other things. These help cut weight by a substantial amount vis-à-vis its other siblings.
And yes, the engine remains a supercharged version of the 3.5-liter V6, this time putting out a healthy 410hp and 420Nm of torque. This propels the car from rest to the century mark in just 3.9 ticks. Needless to say, the razor-sharp handling is still intact.
The Lotus Evora GT410 Sport is for those that want to experience the driving pleasure that the British brand is known for yet still use the car on the daily grind. However, these folks aren’t exactly bent on getting the full-on punch that such a car offers. Subtle yet still very much a joy to drive, says Lotus.
