Around a week ago, Cebu Pacific Air by PRT was about to embark on its bid to secure a championship spot at this year’s Formula Masters China Series (FMCS) at the Penbay International Circuit in Taiwan. Well, the results are in.
Kim Jeong Tae, the South Korean driver, finished on the podium and gave the team a second place team championship standing. Kim started off his Saturday stint around the 3.527km track in P3 and P4. This allowed him to jockey for position to gain a better spot during Races 16, 17, and 18.
He slowly but surely moved up a spot during the next few races, even taking the lead in Sunday’s 17th Race. In the end, his efforts earned him the second step on the podium.
