Part of being a car guy is keeping your ride squeaky clean. Whether it’s a Ferrari or a Ford, the sign of a bonafide enthusiast is a spotless vehicle. Personally, I am so fussy with my car that I have it professionally detailed at least twice a year. Sure it’s a little pricey, but it’s just my way of keeping sane. But after trying out the Electrolux Flexio II, I may have found a better or more cost effective way.
Shaped a little like R2D2, dirt doesn’t stand a chance against this little sucker. But the biggest advantage of the Flexio is it’s a wet and dry vacuum. It has the capacity to handle up to 30 litres of fluids in a non-corrosive tank that can be easily emptied. This allows for do-it-yourself shampooing of carpets and seats––or as an effective back up to clean up nasty spills. Because when you have three kids being shuttled to and from school, that’s a lot of spills. Believe me, if you’re a s fussy as I am, this thing is worth its weight in gold.
Besides holding Fluids, the Flexio II is durable enough to be used for cleaning jobs in the garden, DIY workshop or garage. You can even add in some scented oil in the water for a really fresh feeling. Using it is simple; it comes with a bunch of attachments that can reach just about every nook and cranny of the interior and for areas that you can’t, it features a blower function to blast the dirt away. And when you’re done, it all packs up neatly with a push of a button.
I also like the fact that it has a large dust bag doesn’t require frequent replacing and wheels that are ergonomically designed to make dragging it around the car a breeze. And because it’s made from plastic, chances of scratching your paint during accidental bumps are slim to none.
Best part of all is that, at just under 7,500 pesos, it costs a fraction of what our previous wet and dry vacuum did.
